Imagine you are the leader of North Korea. You want the United States to change its policy towards North Korea; specifically, you want the United States to stop pressing North Korea to eliminate its nuclear weapons, and you also want the United States to eliminate the trade sanctions that harm North Korea’s economy.
North Korea’s intelligence agency comes to you with a plan to assassinate the President of the United States. The intelligence agency argues that killing the President will lead to the changes in American policy you prefer.
If you were the leader of North Korea, do you think this is the case? In other words, do you think that assassinating the President would lead to a change of US policy that you desire? Be sure to answer this question explicitly, and to provide details on 2-3 reasons why you do think such an assassination would or would not lead to a change in US policy.
A good essay will have the following characteristics:
Clearly answer each part of the question.
Consist of more than one paragraph. Each paragraph can address one part of the question.
Does not repeat the question prompt in detail. A good essay might start with a single-sentence summary of the question. But it should not repeat most or all of the question prompt. You can assume that the reader is familiar with the question, and devote most of your writing to answering, rather than restating, the question.
